Qatar has strongly condemned the attempted assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was wounded in a shooting at his convoy east of the country.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the position of Qatar rejecting the use of violence in the context of political differences, and warned against being dragged into a cycle of violence as a result, as well as its keenness to establish security and stability in Pakistan.
