His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani left Cairo, the Egyptian capital Saturday afternoon for a visit to the city of Oran at the invitation of his brother the President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmajid Tebboune to attend the opening ceremony of the 19th Mediterranean Games 2022.



His Highness the Amir and the accompanying delegation were seen off upon departure at Cairo International Airport by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
His Highness the Amir and the accompanying delegation were also seen off by a number of Their Excellencies senior officials, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Egypt Salem bin Mubarak Al Shafi and the Ambassador of Egypt to Qatar Amr El-Sherbini.

His Highness the Amir sent a cable to his brother President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi, in which he expressed his thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and warm welcome that were accorded to His Highness and the accompanying delegation during their visit to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, which provided an opportunity to exchange views on matters and issues of interest to the two countries, in addition to the support and enhancing of the strong brotherly ties between the two brotherly countries for the good and interest of the two peoples, His Highness wished the Egyptian President good health and wellness and the brotherly Egyptian people further progress and prosperity.



His Highness the Amir was accompanied, during the visit, by His Highness the Personal Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani and an official delegation.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani earlier attended a luncheon banquet hosted by President Al Sisi Saturday.

The banquet was attended by the Personal Representative of His Highness the Amir HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani and their excellensies members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness the Amir.

On the Egyptian side,the banquet was attended by a number of Their Excellences ministers and senior officials
