Qatar experienced cold conditions and winds again Saturday, with the forecast saying it will be relatively cold Sunday also and there could be some clouds at times.
Strong winds and high seas are expected offshore along with scattered clouds at times, the Qatar Met department has said.
The wind speed may go up to 24 knots offshore, with the sea level rising to 8ft.
The temperature Sunday is expected to range from 8-17C in Abu Samra, 10-20C in Mesaieed, 11-20C in Doha and Wakra, 12-16C in Dukhan and 12-18C in Al Khor.
Saturday, a minimum temperature of 7C was recorded in Sudanthile, 8C in Abu Samra, Turayna and Karana, 9C in Mukaynis, 10C in the Qatar University area, Mesaimeer, Sheehaniya, Al Khor, Mesaieed and Jumayliyah, and 11C in the Doha airport area, Hamad International Airport area, Dukhan, Umm Bab and Ghuwairiyah.
Meanwhile, an apparent temperature of -2.4C was recorded in Abu Samra early Saturday morning, while in other places it was ranging from 0-13C.
The Met department explained that actual temperatures are those recorded by thermometers, while apparent temperatures are those felt by humans and related to several factors, including atmospheric humidity and wind speed. The higher the wind speed in the winter, the greater the feeling of coldness, it added.
