The Land Transport Sector recorded a total of 1,967 transactions in the third quarter of 2021, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) said.
According to figures released by the MoTC on social media, a total of 929 transactions were carried out for services related to Land Transport Licensing. These transactions covered various services, including the issuance of preliminary approvals for adding a branch to commercial registrations, modifying registers and licences data, adding an activity to commercial registers, issuing commercial licences and issuing commercial registers.
A total of 926 transactions were completed for services related to Land Transport Planning, which included studying and carrying out co-ordination works for building permit cases, rural access road requests and the review of traffic impact studies.
Meanwhile, the Traffic Engineering and Road Safety sector saw a total of 112 transactions in the said period. The services covered several requests related to access requests, directional and advertisement signs, parking requests, traffic safety and traffic flow improvement.
The mission of the MoTC consists of building an integrated and effective transport system that uses advanced technologies serving all local sectors while linking Qatar to the wider regional and international economy.
The ministry said it continues its extensive efforts to develop reliable, efficient and sustainable transport planning and ensure a safe and effective nationwide network of roads and highways constructed according to international standards and best practices.
