Qatar condemns coup in Guinea

Qatar has condemned the military coup in Guinea and the arrest of the president, and called on all parties to avoid escalation, let the voice of wisdom prevails and pursue dialogue in order to overcome the crisis in the country. In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar's hope to preserve constitutional institutions and the rule of law in order to fulfil the aspirations of the Guinean people for development and prosperity. It affirmed Qatar's keenness on establishing security and stability in Guinea.
