The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) celebrated the International Women’s Day, complying with the Covid-19 protocols.
The chief guests were Indian embassy counsellor (political and commerce) T Angeline Premalatha, Qatari Authors' Forum director general Maryam Yaseen al-Hammadi, principals of various Indian schools - Asna Nafees, Hameeda Kadar, Padmini Venkatesh, Manjari Recriwal, Meenal Bakshi and Pramila Kanan - and artists Rashmi Agarwal, Dr Pratibha Ratheesh and Sushma Harish.
The event was live streamed on Facebook.
A video message was delivered from Dr Arathi Krishna, former advisor to the erstwhile ministry of overseas Indian affairs.
ICC's cultural activities head Shweta Koshi and activity co-ordination and education head Kamla Thakur organised the event.
