San Marino yesterday thanked Qatar for its support in containing the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. San Marino’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Qatar’s support reflects the two countries’ solidarity in facing the pandemic, stressing that co-operation has become more urgent in facing the challenges posed by the medical emergency that continues to test the entire international community. Qatar’s ambassador to Italy Abdulaziz bin Ahmed al-Malki, who is Qatar’s non-resident ambassador to San Marino, delivered a cheque worth $150,000 from Qatar Charity to the ambassador of San Marino to Italy Daniela Rotondaro, QNA reported.
