Algerian ambassador to Qatar Dr Mustafa Boutoura has lauded the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to provide urgent medical aid to his country to combat the coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) the ambassador extended "sincere thanks and generous gratitude to the State of Qatar, His Highness the Amir, government and people for the genuine gesture of providing important medical aid to my country, Algeria, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to support its efforts in fighting the outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid 19)."

The ambassador added: "Such generous gestures are not strange to brothers in Qatar, reflecting the State's solidarity with the brotherly countries, and countries of the world in general."

He praised what His Highness the Amir said in his address to the Qatari people on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan, calling on all countries of the world to devote a spirit of solidarity in all meanings and aspects to face the spread of this new pandemic that threatens most of the world and address the post-corona repercussions in all their economic, social and other dimensions.
