The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in co-operation with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) organised a blood donation drive for its employees.
The drive witnessed a remarkable turnout of the staff, an MoPH statement said. The Mobile Blood Donation Unit was parked in front of the main entrance of the ministry building.
The campaign was organised as part of the MoPH’s continuing efforts to build a healthy society and encourage blood donors to adopt healthy lifestyles, and attract new donors to contribute to the blood banks.
The campaign was also aimed at highlighting the importance of blood donation, popularising the concept among the community and its positive results on health.
