Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Shtayyeh praised the efforts of Qatar in supporting citizens in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian prime minister reiterated his gratitude for the Qatari support provided to the Palestinian government in the form of grants and loans.

During a meeting on Wednesday evening in his office in Ramallah with Chairman of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Ambassador Mohamed al-Emadi, Shtayyeh expressed appreciation for Qatar's efforts to support people in the Gaza Strip which is witnessing dire humanitarian conditions and needs all possible assistance.

The government is trying to provide everything possible help to alleviate the suffering of the people there, along with the reconciliation's efforts, he added.

Shtayyeh thank Qatar for the recent support to the Palestinian government in the form of grants and loans, stressing that this support contributed to alleviate the financial crisis caused by the Israeli occupation's piracy of the Palestinian Authority's funds.
