Principals of Indian schools in Qatar recently attended an interactive session with the visiting Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, V Muraleedharan.
The educators represented the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Principals’ Forum of Qatar Chapter.
The minister acknowledged and appreciated the earnest and tireless efforts of the school principals and leaders in providing ethical, diverse and quality education to the expat community in Qatar and asked them to raise their concerns and discuss issues faced while implementing the core values of education.
DPS-Modern Indian School principal Asna Nafees, who strongly believes in ‘Inclusive Education’ and works continuously to include the differently-abled children in the mainstream education, mentioned the challenges faced by special needs children in getting the right type of certification from CBSE Board, New Delhi. The union minister assured that he would address the issue at the earliest.
The principals expressed their gratitude to the Indian embassy for providing them this avenue to share their experiences.
