His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani will meet Friday evening at the Amiri Diwan with French President Emmanuel Macron, who arrives on a working visit. The Amir and the president will discuss bilateral relations and means to enhance and support them, besides a number of developments of common interest.
Qatar’s ambassador to France Sheikh Ali bin Jassim al-Thani stressed the strength of bilateral relations, which have been consolidated in recent years through mutual visits between senior officials in the two countries.
Speaking to QNA, the ambassador said the working visit of French president to Doha highlights the development of the relations, as it discusses co-operation between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, and several related developments of mutual concern.
He underscored the importance of the visit to continue co-ordinating positions on regional files, at a time when the role played by Qatar in settling international disputes and alleviating crises in many regions of the world is highlighted.
Sheikh Ali bin Jassim al-Thani welcomed the visit, which reflects the depth of the relationship and the continuous and close co-ordination between the two countries. (QNA)
