The Indian Doctors Club (IDC) of Qatar held its term completion and general body meeting recently at a hybrid event. The meeting was chaired by Dr Joji Mathews, chairman of the advisory council. Dr Reji Sukhmani was the master of ceremonies.
Xavier Dhanaraj, first secretary at the Indian Embassy, was the chief guest. The guests of honour were the presidents of Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC), Indian Sports Centre and Indian Cultural Centre, Jaffer Sadiq, Dr Mohan Thomas and P N Baburajan, respectively. IBPC governing council member A P Manikantan was also present.
Dr Thomas announced the new team of the IDC, led by Dr Biju Gafoor (president), Dr Anwar PM (vice president), Dr Anoj Cherian (vice president), Dr Saibu George (general secretary), Dr Thomas David (joint secretary), Dr Neeraj Kumar (finance secretary), Dr Tripthi Sinha (CME secretary), Dr Maktoum Azeez (medical camp and welfare secretary), Dr Reji Sukhmani (membership secretary), Dr Ketaki Mannur (sports secretary), and Dr Rini Showkath (cultural secretary).
The outgoing president Dr Joyal Jacob Mathew handed over the coat of arms to Dr Gafoor and wished the new team continued success. Dr Saibu George presented the term report. Dr Gafoor assured IDC’s continued support for the community and proposed a vote of thanks.
