QU, Turkish Maarif Foundation sign agreement for scholarships

Qatar University (QU) has signed a co-operation protocol with Turkish Maarif Foundation, according to which scholarships will be granted to Turkish students at the university. The protocol was signed by Qatar University President Dr Hassan bin Rashid al-Derham and President of Turkish Maarif Foundation Prof Birol Akgun.
Qatar University explained in a statement that, under the protocol, 30 students will be sent by the Turkish Knowledge Foundation to the university annually to complete their education (bachelor's) in Arabic. With this protocol, the university guarantees to provide scholarships to Turkish students graduating from various schools in Turkey, while Maarif Foundation identifies students who are awarded the scholarship to complete their education at Qatar University after meeting the conditions for registration there.
