A dance workshop was conducted recently by the music and dance department of Birla Public School (BPS) based on the topic ‘Bharatanatyam’.
The workshop commenced with a welcome speech by Marshal D’Silva, head of the music and dance department.
Principal A P Sharma expressed his views on the importance of dance in day to day life. He also congratulated the department for conducting the workshop.
Vice principal (co-scholastic) Rajesh Pillai explained that different special activities taking place in the school and encouraged the students to participate, learn and enjoy the sessions.
The dance workshop was presented by dance teachers – Sreelakshmy Sujit and Kunjal C Patel.
The workshop was focused on information related to Bharatanatyam and its techniques. A question and answer session at the end helped students get more clarity on the topics and how to implement them in real life situations.
