The current global pandemic has made traditional oath taking almost impossible. In compliance with the government’s restriction on mass gathering to prevent spread of Covid-19, a virtual ceremony was recently held for the induction and oath taking of last year’s Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) board passers.
A total of 111 successful examinees took their oaths, administered by Francis V Mapile, chairman Board of Electrical Engineering (BEE). The ceremony was also attended by Jaime V Mendoza, BEE member; David Des T. Dicang, Labour Attaché, on behalf of the Philippine ambassador to Qatar Alan S. Timbayan; Reynaldo Cristobal, regional director Professional Regulation Commission Region 4A; Rodrigo T. Pecolera, national president of Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE); Eugenio F. Araullo, IIEE vice president for internal affairs; William W. Yang, keynote speaker; Dene S. Horneja, Middle East Region governor; Joseph A. Recella, IIEE State of Qatar Chapter president; IIEE officers, IIEE MER chapter presidents and officers, PRC representatives, families and other guests.
