Another retail chain has made it mandatory for customers to download and activate the Ehteraz application to be allowed entry into its outlets.
In an announcement on Facebook yesterday, Carrefour Qatar said: “The health and safety of our colleagues and customers is our number one priority. As per the government guidance, it is mandatory to activate (the) Ehteraz app before entering the store.”
Gulf Times had reported yesterday about Al Meera and Monoprix Qatar making it mandatory for customers to show the Green status on the Ehteraz application to be allowed entry into their stores.
LuLu Hypermarket is also implementing a similar measure across its stores in the country, it is learnt.
This comes in implementation of the precautionary measures taken by Qatar to ensure a safer shopping experience and prevent the spread of Covid-19.
