Qatar took part in the ceremony, held at the World Bank in Washington, to give the awards to the winners of the Education for Justice Initiative contest, on the sidelines of the World Bank Week on Law, Justice and Development 2019.
HE Major General Abdullah Yousuf al-Mal, adviser to the interior minister, and Qatar's ambassador to UN and international organisations in Vienna Sultan bin Salmeen al-Mansouri represented Qatar at the ceremony.
Education for Justice Initiative is a part of the Doha Declaration Global Programme, which calls for the integration of crime prevention and criminal justice into the wider agenda of the UN.
A large number of officials, personalities and relevant bodies participated in the 2019 Law, Justice and Development Week, including dignitaries from ministers of justice, prosecutors and senior judges in the Supreme and Constitutional Courts.
