Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Lolwah Rashid AlKhater participated in a round table at the French Institute for International Relations (IFRI) in Paris, on “Inclusiveness in the Middle East: How does the West respond''.
IFRI executive chairman Thierry de Montbrial moderated the session, which witnessed the participation of a group of European ambassadors, politicians, researchers, opinion leaders and delegations from the ministries of foreign affairs of Qatar and France.
During her chairmanship of the round table, Alkhater reviewed the situation in the Middle East through a comprehensive historical and political reading of the roots that led to the current situation in the region.
She responded to the questions and inquiries of the IFRI chairman and French and European dignitaries on political issues of common interest, such as the situations in Syria, Libya, and Sudan.
In addition, Alkhater met Pascal Brindeau, member of French Parliament and chairman of the Qatari-French Friendship Group in Parliament, and Jerome Lambert, Socialist Party's member of French Parliament and secretary of the Qatari-French Friendship Group in Parliament. 
During the meetings, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and topics of mutual interest.
