The Ministry of Municipality and Environment's (MME) Public Gardens Department has placed water containers for birds at all public gardens and parks across the country to protect birds from the heat.
The department will maintain these watering points regularly and ensure they are clean. This initiative is also expected to increase the number of birds visiting such places. Al Daayan Municipality's Health Control Section conducted an inspection campaign on the restaurants, cafeterias, sweet shops, meal preparation outlets and other related shops and facilities during the Eid holidays and spotted a number of violations.

The relevant legal procedures were taken against the violators. In addition, some warnings were issued during the inspection campaign and some outlets had to sign affidavits to amend their situation in order to maintain the guidelines.
