The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Alfardan Sports Motors, has announced the recall of Maserati Ghibli, Quattroporte 2014 models to replace the driver door lock and update the ECU’s software.
The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.
The MEC will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

Qatar takes part in Nato conference on WMD control
Qatar took part in the Annual Nato Conference on Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-proliferation held in the Finnish capital of Helsinki.
Qatar’s ambassador to Austria and Permanent Representative to the International Organisations in Vienna, HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim al-Thani, who represented Qatar at the Conference, has discussed the establishment of a zone free of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East along with other issues with the participation of a number of Arab countries.
The establishment of a WMD-free zone in the Middle East would contribute to regional and international peace and security, lead to a nuclear-weapons-free world in accordance with article VI of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), the ambassador said.
