Following the successful launch of retail space opportunities at the Red Line stations of Doha Metro, Qatar Rail yesterday announced the availability of the Green Line retail spaces at the stations between Al Mansoura and Al Riffa (near Rayyan Stadium).
This was formally announced at the Cityscape Qatar 2018 yesterday. Qatar Rail had announced 100% occupancy rates for commercial spaces at the Red Line stations between Al Wakra and Al Qassar last October.
On the Green Line, the retail shops numbering around 45 units over 2,150sqm, across eight stations are available. Green Line includes stations between Al Mansoura and Education City.
In addition to the retail outlets, stations will also include dedicated spaces for 20 ATMs and 15 vending machines to serve metro users and neighbourhood customers.
At the stations, retailers will be offered four main types of spaces including services, food and beverage, convenience stores and general retail. The online registration will run up to May 24.
Qatar Rail officials at their Cityscape booth said the applications for the retail spaces could be submitted via Qatar Rail’s online retail portal (retail.qr.com.qa).
