TNG confers ‘Education Award’ on dignitaries

Honouring selfless commitment to education, The Next Generation (TNG) school recently confers ‘Education Award’ every year on distinguished individuals, who have achieved remarkable contribution in the educational sector.
At the TNG Youth Leadership Programme, concluded recently, the students from Kindergarten to Year XI got an opportunity to demonstrate their leadership skills, confidence, presentation and communication skills. On the occasion, the school gave away the ‘Education Award’ also.
Hamada Hasan al-Sulaiti, Secretary-General of Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, was the first one invited on the stage to receive the award. She started her career as a school teacher. Her career encompassed a role of an education researcher, a head of curriculum section, a head of Educational Planning and Monitoring Unit, a director of Cultural Relations Department, Assistant Evaluation Institute Director and finally Evaluation Institute Director. 
The next dignitary receiving the award was Dr Khalid Ibrahim al-Sulaiti. He completed his MBA in Finance in 1994 from University of Bridgeport USA. In 1997, he got his PhD degree in marketing from Strathclyde University, Scotland,  UK. He had been in a number of leading positions in Qatar. He is the CEO of First Finance Company Qatar and General Manager, First Investment Company Qatar. 
Essa al-Mannai, Executive Director Rota Education Above All, was also given the award. Rota projects involve education leadership and teacher training as well as sports, environment and skills development initiatives.
Lt.Col. Hamed Mohammed al-Mohannadi, Head of Community Policing Affairs, was appreciated for his efforts in raising community awareness programmes.
Qatar Charity is known for its commendable contributions in reaching out to the community. For its efforts to make education accessible to the underprivileged, Fareed Khaleel al-Siddieqy, Head of Projects Qatar Charity, was given away the award on behalf of the organisation.
The Supreme Council of Delivery & Legacy has been at the forefront of promoting the FIFA 2020 in Qatar through various programmes and educational activities for the communities. Khalid al-Jumaily, Community Engagement Manager for Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, received the ‘Education Award’. Khalid plays a key role in managing community engagement activities to build relationships and trust between the community and the SC. By his signature experiences in sports industry, his current contributions make people aware of the many economic, sustainability, political, social and health benefits the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar will bring. He inspires many community leaders of Qatar by providing the necessary support through various programmes which lead to the empowerment of communities.
